SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, April 1st, 2023! The City of Montevallo will be participating in Shelby County Alabama’s FREE Landfill Day for residents. Bring trash to Montevallo’s Recycling Center (1120 Overland Rd) from 7am to 2pm.*NOTE* Recycling Center will close at 2pm that day to get items to the landfill on time.
You can also take your items directly to the Shelby County Landfill. The Shelby County Highway 70 Landfill is located at 401 Landfill Road, just off Highway 70 between Columbiana and Calera. The Landfill does NOT accept Hazardous waste, tires, batteries, or liquids of any type. All participants must be unloaded and exited by 3:30 PM.
