Carbon Hill High School recently issued the following announcement.

Walker County Schools will be closed Thursday, March 19th - Friday, April 3rd due to Governor Ivey declaring a State of Emergency for the Coronavirus pandemic. Currently, schools are planning to reopen on Monday, April 6th. The days that schools are closed during a State of Emergency will not have to be made up. However, teachers will send home recommendations and/or enrichment work that parents may choose to help their children reinforce their learning.

All extra-curricular activities including athletic contests, practice, weightlifting, and conditioning will be cancelled during the closure as well.

We will keep our school community informed of any changes. Please see the attached Parent Guide provided by the Alabama State Department of Education for more information. Currently, Monday, March 16th through Wednesday, March 18th will be regular school days.
