Berry High School issued the following announcement.

We're bridging the broadband gap in Alabama.

The Alabama State Department of Education launched Alabama Student Connect to help students and teachers who currently lack high-speed broadband internet service or devices get access to the internet.

About Emergency Broadband Benefit Program:

The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program is a new program that provides a temporary discount on home internet bills for qualifying low-income households.  Alabama Student Connect can help connect families to the EBB program.

Benefits:

Eligible households can qualify for:

Monthly Benefit: 

Up to a $50/month discount on your broadband service and associated equipment rentals

Enhanced Tribal Benefit: Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands

One-time Device Discount: Up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50) where available
