This event supports Sacred Selections, a not-for-profit organization that assists families in their quest to adopt a child. It's a pretty amazing organization. They operate with a volunteer board and minimal administrative costs.
In year one, they were able to help the Russell family bring home Ty. Last year, they had the chance to help a family from Autauga County, York and Amanda Smith and their son, Hawkins. Last year, they were blessed to assist Steven and Sharon McCrary.
All proceeds from this race will be donated to Sacred Selections to reduce the financial burden on a family willing to give a child a home. Funds will be sent directly to Sacred Selections to assist families in process of adoption. In the last two years, they have donated more than $30,000 to this cause and our event has grown each year.
They are excited to add a 10K to this year's event and look forward to making another great event for participants and serving an even greater cause!
