2021 has 4.9% of Lamar County residents unemployed

Lamar County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 277 people out of the 13,929 living in Lamar County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lamar County has decreased compared to the 5.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lamar County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.4%.
